Tips on Writing Letters to the Editor:

1. Show respect to all parties involved. Personal attacks do not forward your ideology, and may result in the exclusion of your editorial.

2. Be concise. A thirty page essay is not likely to get printed in the editorial section of your local paper.

3. Present your ideas in an intelligible manner. To persuade others they have to be able to understand you.
